A toddler was fatally struck by a pickup truck driver in a driveway on Long Island, police said Saturday.
Cops did not release the tot’s age or gender but online news outlet Greater Long Island identified the victim as a 2-year-old boy .
Officers responded to the home on Maureen Drive in Mount Sinai around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Suffolk County police said. They found the injured toddler, who was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital. The toddler was pronounced dead at the facility.
The victim’s 44-year-old mother and 43-year-old father were on the scene , cops said. The tot was struck by a Ram 1500 pickup truck, according to police. The vehicle was later seen being towed from the scene.
