A man died at a hospital Saturday, Dec. 6, after he was stabbed in the drive-thru lane of a chicken restaurant in Santa Ana, authorities said.
Santa Ana police were called to the Pollo Campero restaurant, 2320 S. Bristol St., about 4:30 p.m. after a man called police and told them he saw a man down in the drive-thru, Officer Natalie Garcia said.
The stabbing occurred in the drive-thru lane, but the circumstances surrounding it were not known, Garcia said. Detectives canvassed the area for possible witnesses and surveillance video into the night Saturday.
The victim was a Santa Ana resident, Garcia said, but further information about him was not yet known. The man was not identified by police pending notification of his relatives.
