While Alabama wasn’t guaranteed a place in the College Football Playoffs following its 28-7 loss to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, the Crimson Tide has made the rankings, at No. 9.

Alabama becomes the first three-loss team to make the CFP field. Selection committee chairman Hunter Yurachek explained the logic after the Crimson Tide lost to Georgia in the SEC championship game.
