JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Of all the inexplicable ways Colts games have gone sideways in Jacksonville, Sunday’s may have the most wide-ranging long-term impact as starting quarterback Daniel Jones suffered an Achilles injury in the first quarter and was quickly ruled out.

The way in which Jones slammed his helmet on the turf as team trainers tended to him while the Colts QB sat on the field, leaves fears he could be done for the year, turning over what was once the best offense in the league to rookie quarterback Riley Leonard, a sixth-round pick this April who’d thrown just two passes in his NFL career before Sunday.
