BALTIMORE -- The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens came into this game juiceless. Perhaps, this rivalry has never felt less significant. That seems odd because the winner of this game would undoubtedly have a chance to win the AFC North and take a commanding lead.
However, the Steelers and Ravens reminded everyone of why this rivalry is held in such high regard. Sure, the Steelers jumped out to a 17-3 lead early, and it looked like this one could go off the rails, just like last week’s loss for the Ravens did against the Bengals.
Yet, this game felt like good ol’ Steelers vs. Ravens with a modern twist. No, the defenses did not dominate, and it was not a 17-10 defensive showdown. Yet, every blade of grass meant something, and every yard was hard-earned.
