An Abilene man was arrested this week on suspicion of stealing a vehicle in Nebraska.

Christopher Madison Bryant of Abilene was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 3 on a requested charge of theft of a vehicle.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, 2025, a deputy with the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office located a Toyota Avalon in the area of East 1st Street and Bonebrake Street in Abilene that had been reported stolen out of Nebraska.

The vehicle was unoccupied at the time it was recovered. The vehicle was processed and evidence was collected. The vehicle was towed for safekeeping until it can be returned to the owner.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office continued the investigation and developed a suspect the following day on Dec. 3.
