Several rounds of snow are going to hit like waves across both of Michigan’s peninsulas this week - and the snowfall has already started today in some areas of the state.
Two Clipper systems are in the forecast. One will arrive Monday night carrying a few inches of snow, and the other will arrive on Tuesday and into Wednesday. This could bring even higher snowfall amounts to Northern Michigan, although that storm track is still uncertain right now.
All this snow is going to be accompanied by another shot or two of Arctic cold, as a shift in the Polar Vortex is forecast to keep sending blasts of cold air over the Great Lakes region through mid-December, according the long-range outlook from AccuWeather.
