Being a class clown wasn’t just fun for Max Sheldrick, it was training for his future career.

The Chatham native, who is part of the popular Hot As Heck Comedy Tour, will be hitting the stage at the Fortress Tavern X on Dec. 20 and 21, with fellow comedians Mitch VK and Doug Koning.

Originally booked for one night in Chatham, Sheldrick said it sold out and the demand was there for a second show.

“It’s incredible, I never thought that would happen in my hometown,” he said.

Sheldrick appreciates the support and that people are excited for the shows.

Noting he expects to be back to perform in Chatham more often, he is bringing the show to Chatham as he prepares to record a comedy special in 2026.
