MUSKEGON, MI – Muskegon police have released the names of two people who were shot and killed Saturday at a home in Muskegon’s Jackson Hill neighborhood.
Joshua Fondren Jr., 25, died at the house at Jackson Avenue and McLaren Street. Cori Marie-May Watts, 22, was taken to a hospital and died there.
Two others, both 25-year-old men, remained in critical condition according to the most recent information, police said in a statement Sunday, Dec. 7.
In the statement, police released more details on the shooting.
Multiple people entered the home. They were likely familiar to the occupants. There was an “altercation” that resulted in gunfire. Information suggests the shooting might have been connected to a robbery, police reported.
