NASSAU COUNTY, Fla — Drivers, plan to make some detours if you normally use U.S. 17 to cross the Florida-Georgia line.

To allow for routine maintenance, the blue bridge over the St. Marys River, which connects Nassau County and Camden County, will close daily from Monday, Dec. 8, to Thursday, Dec. 11.

The schedule will mostly avoid disrupting the commute for 9-to-5ers, but could still impact those heading between the states during the day. The bridge will close at 9 a.m. each morning and reopen to traffic at 4 p.m.

Drivers are encouraged to use I-95 to cross the river instead.
