IDAHO, USA — The Washington State Cougars, under interim head coach Jesse Bobbit, will face future Pac-12 foe Utah State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on December 22 in Boise.
Both teams finished the regular season with a record of 6-6. Utah State holds a victory over fellow future Pac-12 school Fresno State.
The Cougs have been to a bowl game in nine of the last 10 seasons. WSU has not won a bowl game since the 2018 Alamo Bowl.
This is Utah State’s first appearance at a bowl game since the 2023 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The last Aggies win in a bowl game came in the 2021 LA Bowl.
These two teams faced each other last season in Pullman. WSU won 49-28.
Both teams look much different than that game in November of 2024. The Cougs will be led by a first-time head coach and Utah State is
