A young woman was found shot to death Sunday afternoon in Ann Arbor, police said, one of two shootings within 10 hours in the city.
The shooting occurred in an apartment of Pear Street; the suspect fled before police arrived, a post on the Police Department's Facebook page said.
A K-9 unit used to track the suspect located a firearm believed to be used in the shooting.
"This appears to be an isolated, targeted incident ..." police said.
In a separate, earlier shooting early Sunday, a homeowner confronted a suspect attempting to break into a vehicle on the 1800 block of Weldon. The homeowner's yellow Labrador Retriever, Miley, left the home during the confrontation, and was shot and killed by the suspect, police said. While fleeing, the suspect fired additional rounds. No other injuries
