STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Biting cold temperatures and blustery winds are in Monday’s forecast, marking a frigid start to the workweek.

The National Weather Service forecasts partly sunny skies with a high near 30 degrees. AccuWeather predicts a high of 34 degrees, but with the wind chill will feel closer to 23 degrees.

Strong north winds will blow between 16 to 21 mph Monday morning before decreasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Wind chill values will range between 15 and 20 degrees during the day.

AccuWeather warns the windy conditions may cause watering eyes around the five boroughs as sun and clouds mix throughout the day.
