A bicyclist and triathlete seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in November has hit the milestone of walking 200 feet as she continues on her personal road to recovery.

Gabrielle Suver, 35, was training for an Ironman competition when she was sideswiped on County Road 455 between Clermont and Astatula.

The driver took off.

Now, Suver has had to reorient herself and her mission to recover as quickly as possible, which is no small feat when her list of injuries includes a back broken in three places, a fractured neck, multiple broken ribs, a broken leg, fractured kneecap, liver laceration and sternum fracture.
