WOODSFIELD, Ohio — Law-enforcement officials were able to track down a man after he reportedly sent methamphetamine through a bank’s air tube during a transaction.
Jason Smith, 46, of Woodsfield, was taken to the Monroe County Jail after his arrest, according to a news release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to a bank in Woodsfield on Dec. 3 after an “unknown substance” was sent through the drive-thru air tube, authorities say. A baggie containing meth was found by deputies.
Smith reportedly sent the drugs through the tube by accident. He was later located in Wayne Township by Ohio Department of Natural Resources officers.
