H.S. football notebook: Tigers recall decade

MECHANICSBURG — A reporter asked Southern Columbia coach Jim Roth where the PIAA Class 2A championship his Tigers won Friday with a 43-22 victory over Farrell ranked among the program’s 15 state titles.

“This team really reminds me of the 2015 team,” Roth said, “because, like, there aren’t a lot of scholarship players on this roster or any Division I players, but it had a lot of really good players that played really well as a team. They had a lot of team chemistry. It’s exactly like this team.”
