The 19th JLab Birmingham Bowl will feature Georgia Southern University against Appalachian State University in a rematch of the “Deeper Than Hate” rivalry. The game will kick off on December 29, 1:00PM at Birmingham’s Protective Stadium and will air on ESPN.

According to a news release the two teams have faced each other 41 times. App State leads the series 22-18-1. The two Sunbelt Conference teams played this year on November 6 with Georgia Southern defeating App State 25-23.
