MANISTIQUE — A pair of double-digit scoring runs proved to be too much for the Engadine Eagles as they fell 69-36 to Manistique here Friday.
Manistique trailed 9-8 early to Engadine, when The Emeralds went on a 13-0 run. Manistique junior Connor Tennyson had six of his 23 points during the run.
“We got the ball down low early and got good inside looks,” Tennyson said. “We did a good job of getting momentum early that kind of carried us through the game.”
Cooper Graphos also hit a 3-pointer during the 13-0 run and finished the game with 10 points. The run was capped off by senior Alex Bonneau who took the ball to the basket for a layup to put the Emeralds up 21-9.
