Cyber criminals looted Rs 222 crore in Odisha over the past 16 months, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Assembly in a written reply.
According to the data, the state recorded 3,486 cybercrime cases during this period. Police arrested 727 accused, while charge sheets were filed against 104 individuals.
Officials reported that victims recovered Rs 61.36 lakh through investigation efforts. Additionally, authorities froze bank accounts holding Rs 6.74 crore to prevent further misuse.
