Life is already tough for dogs living on their own, and for one tiny puppy who slipped into a canal in California, everything quickly went from bad to terrifying.

When Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy in Irvine, heard that a stranded pup was trapped with no way to climb out, she felt an immediate pull to help. Understanding how urgent the situation was, she called for assistance, then headed straight for the canal.

Bravery Leads To A Canal Rescue

Hall reached out to her friend Nelson , and the two of them rushed over, determined to rescue the frightened little dog.

The scene was far more hazardous than they expected. The canal walls rose sharply on both sides, and the puppy looked weak , as if he had gone far too long without food or water.

Time felt painfully precious.
