Two men arrested after a gunman opened fire outside a house in Salford have been released on bail, Greater Manchester Police confirmed this morning.

It follows an incident on Wally Square in Higher Broughton at around 6:50pm on Thursday evening (December 4). It is believed a man - who arrived on an electric bike with another man - 'walked up to a property before discharging the firearm', according to police.

A woman in her 20s suffered an injury in the incident which the force has described as 'minor'. Exactly how she sustained the incident is still being investigated, they added.
