These days it's looking rather different, thanks to a multi-million pound makeover, but a very popular pub in Newcastle, as well as being a regular haunt for many Geordies for decades now, was also the backdrop for scenes in two of the region's most iconic TV shows. And thanks to one of them , Byker Grove, coming back, it's now been seen by many more people.
