ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) - A Brunswick man found guilty in connection with a bar fight turned deadly at Jokers Pub and Grub in Lorain County, will be sentenced Monday afternoon.
In October, a jury found James Stewart Jr. guilty of two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault, and one count of illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premises.
The shooting happened on May 10, 2024.
According to a press release from the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the bar on the 24000 block of Sprague Rd. in Columbia Station just before 11 p.m.
During a physical altercation in the bar, Stewart pulled out a hand gun and shot another man.
Stewart was taken into custody at the scene.
The victim was identified as Jason Kleinman, 49, of Olmsted Falls.
