A blast of wintry weather is lining up for the D.C. region, as clouds thicken and temperatures tumble into the teens.

7News First Alert Meteorologist Eileen Whelan said central and southern Virginia will see accumulating snow Monday, while areas closer to D.C. can expect flurries with little to no accumulation.
Luray, Culpeper and Fredericksburg in Virginia, along with Leonardtown, Maryland, could pick up about a half-inch of snow.
