India’s New Shanghai Consulate Inaugurated, Bigger, Better, Beautiful

The Consulate General of India in Shanghai inaugurated its brand-new, state-of-the-art Chancery at the iconic Dawning Centre in Changning District — the first relocation in over 32 years. Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat graced the ceremony as Guest of Honour and cut the ribbon amid thunderous applause from nearly 400 distinguished guests, including diplomats, senior Shanghai Municipal Government officials, and a vibrant Indian diaspora from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Suzhou, Nanjing, Yiwu, Keqiao and beyond.The modern facility symbolises India’s growing footprint in East China and will significantly enhance consular services, trade promotion and people-to-people ties.
