The Winslow Hotel, next to Goodison Park in Walton , has been around since the 1880s. It has welcomed generations of Everton supporters through its doors.
Alan Myers, a football journalist and former director of communications at Everton, said the pub was "due to close in the new year" in a post on X yesterday and this was confirmed by Dave Bond, the pub's general manager, yesterday.
