As expected, the Texas Longhorns were left out of the College Football Playoffs on Sunday when the 12-team field was announced.

However, Texas still has an intriguing matchup to cap off their season in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl against the Michigan Wolverines. As of now, they appear set to participate, unlike several other programs with their respective bowl games.

One team that chose to opt out after being shockingly left out of the CFP was the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Swapped out for Miami, Notre Dame, the first team outside the field, had been scheduled to play BYU in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
