CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. — The court clerk who helped with Alex Murdaugh's murder trial has plead guilty to charges she faced in court Monday, December 8, in Calhoun County, South Carolina.

Mary Rebecca "Becky" Hill faced criminal charges of perjury, obstruction of justice, and two counts of misconduct in office, all stemming from South Carolina Law Enforcement Division's (SLED) year-long investigation into her role during the Alex Murdaugh double murder trial. She plead guilty to all charges before Judge Heath Taylor.

Prosecutors said she showed sealed photos from Murdaugh's murder trial to a reporter and then lied about it. They also said she took bonuses she did not earn and promoted through her public office a book she wrote on the trial.
