If there's one staple of the festive season, it's a Christmas jumper. As a fashion writer, I know that these festive knits can often cause quite a heated debate, with many having their opinion on when they should be worn and how they should look.

For some, the very idea of them can conjure up images of novelty prints and over-the-top slogans. While they definitely offer something fun for the holidays, it doesn't mean that these designs are everyone's cup of tea, as some prefer something a touch more chic.

Then there's the age old question on whether you can wear them all December long, or just on December 25. Even though everyone has their own thoughts on them, there's no denying that a Christmas jumper is one staple you'll find in any winter wardrobe.
