Brazilian immigrant Bruna Ferreira has now broken her silence over her ICE arrest and said the only mistake she did was to trust White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, making her the godmother of her child she shares with Leavitt's brother Michael Leavitt. Michael and Ferreira stayed together in New Hampshire. They never married and in 2015, they broke up. On November 12, Ferreira was arrested by ICE when she was on her way to pick up her son, as she and Michael have shared custody of the child. Ferreira has been accused of overstaying a B-2 tourist visa that expired in 1999. But her lawyers said that she got temporary protection under DACA, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, in 2012 during the Obama administration.
