Staff members and tourists were among those who died in the fire. Most of the deaths were caused by suffocation, as the victims got trapped on the ground floor and in the kitchen.

A clip of Kristina performing went viral right after the fire erupted. Soon, Kristina and the patrons watching her perform were seen rushing for safety, the video revealed. Among the survivors was Kristina, a professional dancer from Kazakhstan.

The video also captured the initial reactions of the panic-stricken crowd to the fire.
