CreateOn recalled more than 9,000 Crayola-branded pip-Cubes, because they pose a magnet ingestion hazard. The toys were sold in Michael's stores and online nationwide. They were also sold on Amazon.
The magnetic building cubes can become loose and hazardous to children. If swallowed, the magnets can attract to each other, or to other metal objects, and get lodged in the digestive system, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
"This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death," the CPSC stated.
The pip-Cubes can become an ingestion hazard if the seams separate and they become loose.
They were sold in Bold Colors and Glitter, in sets of 24 or 27.
