Fleeing once again – five months after the most serious clashes between their militaries in year, civilians in Cambodia and in Thailand are forced from their homes.

It is one of eight conflicts Donald Trump claims to have ended in his first year in office, if indeed it was ended, has for now at least restarted.

Tensions have been mounting again, since a Thai soldier was wounded in November by what Bangkok says was a newly-laid landmine.

But Thailand’s military, which has been carrying out air strikes through the day, is talking about crippling Cambodian forces, neutralising their threat for a long time to come.

Cambodia says four civilians have been killed by Thai fire and that its military, just a third the size of Thailand’s, has so far not retaliated.
