The Moore Mechanical Athlete of the Week for the Petoskey-area is back for the winter sports season!

It's been a few weeks since we've had some regular action around northern Michigan, though that changed last week with hockey, wrestling and boys basketball all returned.

All results for this week's poll come from Monday, Dec. 1 through Sunday, Dec. 7 from Emmet and Charlevoix Counties.

Vote for these athletes from Monday, Dec. 8 to 4 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11. Look for another Moore Mechanical Athlete of the Week from the Petoskey-area next week.

Carter Schlappi, Petoskey hockey

Only a freshman, Schlappi is off to a hot hockey start, recording a goal vs. the Bay Reps, two goals against Port Huron and a goal and assist against Rochester Hills Stoney Creek last week.
