Florence Carol Haslam Lucherini was born in Lewiston, Utah on December 8th, 1936, and passed away at her home in Hyde Park, Utah on December 3rd, 2025, just five days prior to her 89th birthday. Carol was the youngest child and only daughter of Joe and Zetta Haslam. At the age of six, she contracted polio where she lost the use of her right leg, requiring her to use crutches and later, a wheelchair for the rest of her life. She never let her disability become a hinderance, and in her youth, used her crutch as a bat while playing softball. This caused the demise of many crutches.
Her determination was evident as she married her high school sweetheart, Ray Lucherini in the Logan Temple on December 2nd, 1955. She had six children and raised many
