People have been warned that a small item commonly found in most British kitchens could be putting a significant strain on energy bills , especially during cold weather. Boiling the kettle often might not seem like a major drain, but a few rounds of tea or coffee throughout the day can quickly add up to extra pounds on the energy bill that comes at the end of the month.
