President Trump is slated to roll out a $12 billion farm aid package on Monday, according to a White House official.
The aid includes $11 billion in one time payments to crop farmers as a part of the Department of Agriculture’s Farmer Bridge Assistance program. The remaining $1 billion will go toward crops that are not covered by the program.
Trump will announce the aid package alongside Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins at a White House event attended by soybean, corn, rice, cattle, potato, sorghum, and cotton farmers.
