MISSOULA — A celebration trifecta started inside Washington-Grizzly Stadium when Montana receiver Drew Deck laid out to make one of the highlight plays of the season as he caught a 29-yard pass for a touchdown to go up 29-14.

The excitement hit a different note moments later when it was announced over the public address system that No. 1 seed North Dakota State had just lost in the second round of the FCS playoff to unseeded Illinois State at home.

The cheering reignited when the video board in the south end zone showed a zoomed-in shot of a fan holding out his phone with the screen displaying the final score of the Bison's 29-28 loss that shakes up the playoff bracket.
