Bandipora sisters emerge as rising faces of women’s cricket in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 8 : Two sisters from Ajjar area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, Madiha Fayaz and Sania Fayaz, are steadily carving out a name for themselves in women’s cricket in Jammu and Kashmir through consistent performances, discipline, and perseverance despite limited facilities.

The sisters have spent the last four years training under challenging conditions, often practicing on makeshift grounds and arranging equipment on their own. Their efforts bore fruit recently when the Bandipora district women’s team clinched the Union Territory-level cricket tournament under the captaincy of Madiha Fayaz.
