UPDATE: The parents of a Collegedale infant who died after being left in a hot car during the summer were in Hamilton County Criminal Court on Monday, December 8.

In court, Timothy and Catelin Blackdeer were given a date for their pretrial hearings and jury trials.

They are both schedule for a pretrial hearing on November 2, 2026. Their jury trials are slated to begin on November 17, 2026.

Timothy Blackdeer is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse and neglect. Catelin Blackdeer is charged with criminally negligent homicide "for her involvement in the case," according to the City of Collegedale .

Back in August 2024, Collegedale police officers came across Timothy Blackdeer with his unresponsive daughter. There, the infant died despite efforts to revive her.
