LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Police are investigating after a body was found in central Lincoln Monday morning.

Lincoln Police officers were called to the area of Vine Street and Antelope Valley Parkway, near the University of Nebraska-Lincoln city campus, shortly before 9 a.m. for a man who was found dead.

The body was located just off the Billy Wolff Trail at the end of a culvert underneath Antelope Valley Parkway.

Investigators are on scene working to determine the man’s identity, cause and manner of death.

The Lincoln Police Department said more information will be released if the death is believed to be criminal in nature.
