Baramulla Police on Monday evening foiled a suspected narco-terror attempt by arresting two individuals and recovering heroin-like substances from their possession near the parking area of GMC Baramulla at around 7:00 pm.

The accused a male and a female, both residents of Trikanjan, Boniyar were apprehended during an operation launched on specific inputs. Police seized a Tata Punch vehicle from the spot and registered a case under FIR No. 214/2025 at Police Station Baramulla.

Officials confirmed that the recovered contraband, weighing 964 grams, carries a value running into crores in the international market. The substance is suspected to be linked to a wider narco-terror network active in the valley.
