Gibbs’ future at NIS is left up in the air as his future wife Diane asks him to move to Los Angeles with her in the NCIS: Origins midseason finale.

In Us Weekly‘s exclusive clip from the season 2 episode airing on Tuesday, December 9, Gibbs (Austin Stowell) prepares to leave for work when Diane (Kathleen Kenny) comes over with good news.

“I got the job. I never thought they would hire me on the spot,” she tells Gibbs. “I mean, it is just glorified assistant stuff to start, but they are going to pay for my CPA course. This time next year, I will be a full-blooded accountant.”

Diane acknowledges one possible issue. “I really see [it] as a feature,” she notes. “It is for their L.A office. I knew you wouldn’t know what to say, but you don’t have to say anything. Just move with me.”
