BARABOO, Wis. — A man was found dead along the riverwalk on Friday in Baraboo, police said Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to the area of Effinger Road for an "attempt to locate" call right before 6:30 p.m. Police identified the man and determined he was the subject of the initial call for service.
It was determined that this case was an isolated incident and there was no risk to the public.
As of Monday afternoon, this incident remained under active and ongoing investigation.
The Sauk County Coroner's Office and the UW Health assisted police.
