Derek Jeter is just trying to spread the holiday cheer.

The New York Yankees legend—who shares kids Bella Raine , 8, Story Grey , 6, River Rose , 4, and Kaius Green , 2 , with wife Hannah Jeter —offered a rare glimpse into family life in celebration of the festive season.

As seen in a video shared on the athlete's Instagram on Dec. 7, the MLB alum got shut down during a recent car ride while attempting to join one of his kids singing along to "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town."

After receiving a resounding "no" for his incorrect lyrics, Derek's sister offered her support.

"No Derek!!! 'He’s making a list and checking it twice!'" Sharlee Jeter , 46, commented, before noting, "He is right. That wasn’t the next line!"
