It’s a pretty good indication that you’ve made it as a fashion designer when an Oscar-winning director makes a documentary about you. Such is the case with Italian designer Brunello Cucinelli. On Thursday, December 4, almost 1,000 guests from around the world gathered in Rome to watch the premiere of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary .
Part dramatization and part documentary, the film tells the story of Cucinelli’s life—from his humble beginnings on a farm to founding his fashion empire and taking on humanitarian causes around the world.
