After a week of criticism, Republican gubernatorial candidate Michael Minogue has cleared the air on his partisan allegiances.

“I support President Trump and the Republican Party,” the medical device millionaire said during an appearance on WCVB-TV’s “On the Record” program on Sunday.

Minogue, a mega-donor for President Donald Trump, raised eyebrows in GOP circles last week when he said he didn’t “swear [an] oath to political parties.”

“I swore an oath to the Constitution at West Point,” the Army Gulf War vet and former biotech CEO told The Republican newspaper of Springfield . “I swore it to my country. And I don’t swear oaths to political parties.”
