DES MOINES, Iowa —

Matt Campbell will double his pay as head coach for the Penn State Nittany Lions, according to compensation details posted by the university.

The eight-year contract lists $8 million in base pay and supplemental pay in 2026 for Campbell, who heads to Penn State after 10 years as the Iowa State Cyclones' head football coach, becoming the winningest coach in school history .

KCCI Investigates requested the full contract for Campbell. The base pay and supplemental pay are not included in the release from the university.

Campbell's last contract with Iowa State, signed in August, provided him with $3.7 million in base pay and other compensation .
