CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA – Police say they have made multiple arrests in a what they’re calling a gambling collusion scheme at a Calgary casino.

They say they have arrested two men and three women after management at a southeast casino recently uncovered suspicious activity.

Police say that over three weeks in November, two of the employees issued unearned winnings to three people at various card games.

All five were arrested Nov. 19.

They are to appear in court Dec. 22.

Police say they work closely with regulatory bodies and industry partners to ensure gaming industry standards are followed.

This report by The Canadian Press was first published Dec. 8, 2025.
