Teen Tried To Lure Three Kids Off Baltimore County Street Before Fast Arrest, Police Say

A Maryland neighborhood is on edge after police say a teen tried to lure three young children, leading to a fast arrest days later.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department’s Towson Precinct arrested Cameron Keelan, 19, in connection with an attempted kidnapping that happened in the 8300 block of Edgedale Road last week, authorities announced.

Officers were called to the area for a report of a suspicious person on Thursday, Dec. 4.

Police said the preliminary investigation showed a man “approached three young children in the area and attempted to persuade them to follow him away from the location,” Baltimore County Police said.

Keelan was identified as the suspect. He was arrested without incident and charged with attempted kidnapping on Monday, Dec. 8, police said.

Keelan is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. 

Anyone who may have come into contact with Keelan has been asked to contact detectives at the department.
